History

Today is the anniversary of D-Day. Poppop was enlisted at the time, but always refused to talk about the war. Momo wouldn't talk about it either. Mom was one month old at the time.

Try to imagine this was real, not a movie or a video game. (I saw a D-Day virtual reality game while looking for these and was appalled by the guy smiling while he "played" the "game.") These were young men who were scared like anyone would be, terrified, but did what they had to do. And every one of them had a family somewhere. Poppop was 19 years old. The rest were probably about the same.

These are short. Please watch both of them without interruption -- no music, phone, etc.
